Amani Family Services has promoted Zachariah (Zach) Pusti as the new Chief Operations Officer. The COO position was open after Melissa Grossman was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in July.

Zach was previously Amani’s Director of Victim Care and Advocacy, a position that oversaw the staff of Victim Advocates and Amani’s Naturalization and Legal Advocacy (NALA) program. His previous experience includes over 9 years working for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, Egypt and Panama. His experience at Amani over the past year has seen the growth of reliable victim and legal advocacy and support of refugee and immigrant communities throughout Fort Wayne.

Zach looks forward to using his many years of experience working in refugee resettlement, family reunification, and advocacy to oversee the continued high level of service and quality programs available to refugees and immigrants in Fort Wayne.
