Over the past six years, 24% of the total population growth is attributable to immigrants who call our community home. These individuals will continue to fuel our workforce and drive economic impact, so long as they receive the support they need to grow in the community. Amani Family Services’ Naturalization and Legal Assistance (NALA) program provides guidance to Fort Wayne and Allen County employers who want to support their employees who are eligible for an immigration status.

Launched in 2024, the Welcoming Fort Wayne Plan identified access to legal resources as a critical need for fostering a more inclusive community and maintaining a thriving workforce. Grounded in impact data, the plan highlights the millions of dollars newcomers generate for the local economy and underscored gaps in legal services. This insight helped shape initiatives like NALA. By addressing these barriers, the Welcoming Fort Wayne Plan continues to drive community-driven projects that promote inclusion and economic stability. Learn more about Welcoming Fort Wayne.

Jarry Valcarcel | Attorney, Immigration and Naturalization Law
Jarry Valcarcel has exclusively practiced Immigration and Naturalization Law since 2007. Before establishing his solo immigration practice in October 2015, he was an associate attorney at a boutique immigration law firm in San Francisco, where he handled complex immigration cases. He represented clients before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the San Francisco Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the USCIS Administrative Appeals Office, and the Asylum Office.
As a first-generation immigrant, Jarry’s journey ignited his passion for immigration and naturalization law.
