Fort Wayne, Ind. (January 28, 2020) – Amani Family Services will host a Multilingual Open House about Census 2020 at its facility at 5104 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, IN 46825. The free event is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, January 29 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
“This is an opportunity to educate yourself, connect to resources, and ask questions. And interpreters will be available to assist in several languages,” said Irene Paxia, executive director for Amani Family Services. “Nowadays it is hard to find good sources of information and individuals who are immigrants and refugees are growing particularly anxious around government led activities. Amani appreciates the collaboration of the other agencies to help develop this informative event.”
This event is organized by a group of entities including Brightpoint, Language Services Network, Hispanic Leadership Coalition of Northeast Indiana, Multicultural Council of Greater Fort Wayne, Alliance for Human Services, and Amani Family Services. This is a free event that will include a resource fair, job opportunities, presentations, and access to interpreters in Burmese and Spanish. For other languages or special accommodations, please call our office (260) 484-1414.
