The Foellinger Foundation Awards $18,013 Limited Asset Improvement Grant to Amani Family Services
Fort Wayne, IN (June 27, 2019) – Amani Family Services has been awarded a grant in the amount of $18,013 from Foellinger Foundation for limited asset improvement.
“We are grateful for the support of Foellinger Foundation and the fact that the Foundation understands how critical technology and assets are for nonprofit operations. With this funding, Amani will be able to purchase a new server and new phone system, both of which we absolutely need. These are vital for the continued growth of our services,” says Irene Paxia, Executive Director at Amani Family Services.
Amani Family Services is a private nonprofit organization serving over 1,000 families and individuals from around the world who have made Allen County their home. It is one of the largest nonprofit agencies serving immigrants and refugees in the area, offering five programs, and employing approximately 45 multilingual staff members and contractors. Amani services include child abuse and neglect intervention and prevention, victim care, individuals struggling with substance use, and counseling.
The Foellinger Foundation is a private, charitable foundation that invests in excellence by providing grants, leadership training, conferences, workshops and thought-leading speakers to strengthen nonprofit organizations that serve Allen County. The Foundation was created in 1958 by Helene Foellinger, The News‐Sentinel publisher from 1936 to 1980, and Esther Foellinger, her mother.
