Amani launches Naturalization and Legal Assistance (NALA) Program

Amani Family Services launched the Naturalization and Legal Assistance (NALA) program this morning with a press conference and ribbon-cutting celebration at the agency's office. This event commemorated the successful completion of Amani’s two-year project, which was made possible through collaboration with a dedicated task force and support from local funders.

Since 2006, Amani Family Services has been a trusted resource for immigrants and refugees in Fort Wayne and Allen County. The NALA program expands the organization’s commitment to supporting the local social sector ecosystem by filling critical gaps in services. You can make referrals at amanifamilyservices.org/nalafw.

“NALA provides more than just legal expertise—we offer connection, community, and unwavering support,” said Amani CEO Ewelina Connolly. “There are over 28,000 foreign-born individuals in Allen County yet our community is limited in resources for those seeking guidance in immigration law. This program will help individuals build a secure future and support our local workforce development efforts.”

Thank you to our NALA funders: Ambassador Enterprises, Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation, Northeast Indiana Strategic Development Commission, and St. Joseph Community Health Foundation.
