Amani Family Services invites you to join us for a live virtual lunch and participate in an inspiring storytelling event. This year’s theme is: “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World.” The theme celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

ALL individuals (men, women, nonbinary, etc.!) are invited to participate – your story is yours and we’d love to hear it. If you wish to share a personal story which you feel connects to the theme “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World.”, please email Erin McCarthy (emccarthy@amanifamilyservices.org),and she will schedule your story.

As this event is live, participants will be given 2-3 minutes to share their story/photos (photos are not required, but happy accepted), and how they pertain to the overall event theme/honor women in general. If you do not feel comfortable speaking, or need interpretation, accommodations can be made. In sharing your story and a photo, you certify that you have rights and consent of information and materials shared. Amani is not responsible for instances of copyright or consent breaching.

As this event is aimed at celebrating similarities, differences, and diversity in cultures and stories from around the world, we encourage folks to take advantage of this special lunch hour by purchasing carry-out from a list of immigrant and refugee-owned international restaurants around Fort Wayne.
